From a new studio at least wait til the final product is out and reviews. The graphics look meh at the moment, but the gameplay so far caught my attention.

Which is a shame, as Lost World made some big improvements. They were just buried by some baffling decisions that made the game a LOT more difficult than it needed to be (and which were all patched by the time i started playing the game at Christmas). I wonder what the next Sonic Team-made Sonic will look like.
In this case, however, it should do better in terms of sales, since they'll aggressively promote it against the cartoon on Cartoon Network.

pop-in is what's at issue here. It's diving downwards towards the jungle scene below, but still from really high up. A GIF or video of that same sequence would be better evidence in that regard.
