Forums - Gaming - Sonic boom starting to look sketchy.

I won't judge it til I see the final product, not a early built model, plus to be honest, I'm more excited gor this then Homefront Revolution, since it was announce on the same day the gameplay was release .

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

ill get it its an exclusive so may as well support it.

I'm getting it anyway but the game seems like it's turning off a LOT of people. Will it be shitty or just get shitty sales, who knows.

Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.

I'm not intend to offend anyone, but guys, this is a tie-in game, we should expect a tie-in quality. I know that red button is former naugthy dog developers, but they left for a reason. They really don't seems to be trying to make the game that fans want, but instead the game that they want to make with a random character.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

The people getting turned off by this aren't the target audience. That was made clear by the first trailer. Its best to not quite think as Sonic Boom as a real Sonic title

It's really too early to make your mind up about a Sonic game. I'm not particularly won over by the visuals or anything. But then again, I quite liked the visuals of Lost World and that was quite poor.
The sonic guys desperately need to find a formula that works and stick to it.

Would it really be that hard for Sega to put together a good Sonic team? A couple of years ago it seemed that they are getting on the right track, now its disaster all over again :|

Starting~?

The game looked like a non-starter from the get go.

This is exactly what I was going to say.

The moment I saw Knuckles I knew we were in for a ride.

With the redesign I was suspicious,

When I saw the gameplay, I knew this would be another flop.

Why can't they make a Sonic game about running or some shit.

I thought Sonic Unleashed would be great until I got to werehog

This isn't a Sonic game for the old guard of Sonic fans. It's a Sonic game made to build a new, younger fanbase.

This definetly is not targetting Original Sonic Fans, the redesign and costume are diffently for a younger fanbase, but they will probably have to butcher Sonic's personality to do it, and If Sonic X failed to do it, I really doubt sonic boom will.

What's up with the lighting on most of those levels? It looks like it's switched off or something.
