Forums - Microsoft - Impressive Looking First Forza Horizon 2 1080p Screenshots Released

Yesterday, Microsoft announced the next-installment in Forza Horizon franchise, Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Now take a look at the first official in-game screenshots of Forza Horizon 2 below.

Playground Games are working on Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 and a separate studio is working on the Xbox 360 port. On Xbox One, Forza Horizon 2 is powered by Forza 5 Engine.

Forza Horizon 2 is scheduled to launch in Fall 2014 for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

UPDATE:

We have just received an update that UK developer Sumo Digital is heading development work of Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2. The Xbox 360 version is built on Horizon 1 engine.

"X1 version of Horizon 2 is built on the Forza 5 engine, led by Playground. X360 version is built on Horizon 1 engine, led by Sumo Digital." reads a tweet from official Forza Motorsport account.

Totally worth pointing out of course because no games' first screens are ever bullshots. Everything we see up to release is usually always 100% actual gameplay visuals, and never touched up at all.

Gone :)

Images look very nice, DriveClub is going to have a hard time competing with Forza later this year. Hopefully the freshness of DriveClub will sway some sales it's way.

Also, you know, the fact that they're on completely different platforms may help swing some sales it's way too. Honestly, Horizon and DriveClub respectively are competing much more with Project CARS and The Crew than they are with each other

Driveclub still looks better XD
