It is a lot different from the previous Final Fantasies in terms of the battle system. The game mechanics were still good; it's just that they are drastically different from the traditional Final Fantasy. The graphics at that time were really good and I was very satisfied with the voice acting. The FFX voice acting was shaky at times. However, the story and character development were below average. Story tended to meander and there was not definitive main character. Throughout the game, the role of "main character" switched around multiple times.

Yeah, actually I did like XIII. But I've already played through it on X360 and more recently PS3 last gen. I think it is way too soon for a remaster of XIII.

I'd love a XIII remaster. 1080p, 60fps and cutscene models in-game. Gorgeous.

It wasn't a bad game at all, but it was very flawed gameplay wise! I would rank it slightly below Final Fantasy X!

@richard freyman -- the worst in the series for me. The story for FFXII was a snorefest. Nothing about the story kept me wanting to play the game. On top the battle system was atrocious. It used the traditional MMO type fighting system ,, which can be seen in FFXI where you press a command and you wait. No way to dodge, or even to run and no matter wher you stand in teh battle field, the enemy will also hit you which was ridiculous . The only good thing about FFXII was the graphics. For a ps2 at that time, it was really awesome.

My god, this game was amazing back then (I still have my copy). I also remember how overlooked it was thanks to the beginning of the 7th gen since it was released at the very end of PS2's life. Really looking forward to this!
