Seriously I don't get the logic here.  I guess maybe they want people to know the game is coming so they can just go ahead and show gameplay or something at E3?  It would have been really cool to see MKX, Homefront (not as much), and Forza Horizon 2 announced at the press conferences.  When people say we don't need E3 anymore or that it has lost its hype it's because of companies pulling this kinda stuff!  Save the big stuff for the conferences (I hope they have more to surprise us with that pales this in comparison).  Do you guys prefer the pre-E3 or during E3 reveal strategy and why?

I don't get it either. Maybe theres too much to fit into E3 lol

My guess would be an attempt to get the buzz going for their briefing, like a band posting tracks/videos before an upcoming show. Maybe they also feel that the vacuum that is the weeks before E3 is more easily filled and has more impact than the cacophony that surrounds E3.

Its to build hype plus if they announcetge games before there able to be seen and discussed were at e3 you have to compete with all the game news being put out

well luckily sony and nintendo wont announce anything before e3 so were fine :D

They want to jump ahead of the competition because E3 is so crowded.

What's E3?

OT : Just want to build the buzz, no reason to wait when their sales are slowing while people wait for the new version without Kinect to come out in a week.

None of these reveals are the megatons E3 is known for showing, or at least sometimes anyways.
