I stole this from Gaf

Great video. That quote from Ready at Dawn.

a crack in time was 60 fps,.. who knew.

i went to the site the video suggested and honestly,.. i don't see it. i can see difference in resolution. i can see difference in textures. but i just don't see the difference between 30 and 60 fps. i can feel it when frame rate drops into the 20's and 10's and that is bad.

but if i had a choice between 30fps and 1080 or 60fps and 720 i want 1080p.

He doesn't really get it completely. Never even mentions once the variable frame delay between the frames. Which is the real reason why game fps are nothing like movie fps. It's also the reason why even games at 60fps can feel choppy.

But yes, I claim bullshit at RAD's statements. Even the capped resolution is bull.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Gooch Gooch. Put some details in the OP, dude. Just copy the ones from gaf, just like the video. Here, just give them credit so you don't get punished for plagiarism.

An interesting video explaining why 60 fps is objectively better than 30 fps and calling out Ready at Dawn on their PR speak.

""60 fps is really responsive and really cool. I enjoy playing games in 60 fps," Jan told me. "But one thing that really changes is the aesthetic of the game in 60 fps. We're going for this filmic look, so one thing that we knew immediately was films run at 24 fps. We're gonna run at 30 because 24 fps does not feel good to play. So there's one concession in terms of making it aesthetically pleasing, because it just has to feel good to play."

Me too but i saw it first at gaf. He makes so many videos. It is just hard to keep up. :P

Hes missing a simple fact. Most gamers cant tell a difference, sure PC super gaming savants lol might but average console gamer cant tell if a game is 30 or 60 fps. There's a reason so many can accept the shovelware that is phone and tablet gaming. Some things people can easily live without and most just don't notice.
