Cool that it is cross-gen. Less incentive to upgrade till xbox two and ps5 show up with 80 gb ram.
Why are they announcing it now? If this was not big enough, does Microsoft have the mother of all E3's lined up ahead.

So, they get crap for not supporting the 360, now they get more for supporting it?
They can't win. |
Ahn... yes? They didn't support the 360 when the One wasn't out - now that next-gen is here, that's when they decide "oh no, let's support the 360"? Great.
I'm sorry, but I just expect first-party games to lead the way to next-gen only games.

PS fans have been going on about how they have more PS3 support in the later years, but now this year the 360 has got both Titanfall and Forza Horizon 2 while being a year older than the PS3. |
That would only be true if the ps3 wasn't getting any more exclusives, however it is ... so what were you saying?

Edit: By the way, that's another game MS announces before E3? Either that means they're desperate or their conference is so filled with awesomeness, that they have to announce a few games before. |
Whilst I think that their E3 will be spectacular, I don't think they are desperate, or the reason for these announcements are because their E3 is going to be out of this world. Forza is an annualised franchise so this is about as surprising as a new Call of Duty or a new Assassin's Creed, which are exciting for fans of either series, just not surprising - and Halo was both announced at last years E3, and leaked earlier this year.
I don't think they have announced anything new this year prior to E3 have they?

i kind of hear you, i do want support for the full cycle of a console not cutting out a year or two early. ..but this is a full year after the next gen launch. cross gen holds games back,.. or else next gen really is nothing more than higher resolution and frame rate. either way there is a lot to be dissappointed about.
Cross gen, that brings 2 problemss :
-So One has only one exclusive game in 2014
- Cross gen games never look as next gen as next gen games
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m
For me cross gen has always been a very good idea, especially considering the lack of backwards compatability with modern consoles.
Its the graphical difference between the last gen version and current gen version which debatable

It's not as if they don't release new gen only games as well but it sounds only fair to give the majority of gamers (those owning a last gen console) still some games to play, right?
I mean, I would be happy if it would be only on Xbox One but there is no reason to punish the millions of people who want to wait with the purchase of a new console. It's not as if they are not worth it...
"you aren't an early adopter of a new console so that you don't deserve to get new games" doesn't sound very nice to me.
