Forums - Gaming - Vita's 2nd Million Seller Incoming! Megaton!!

Will there be even more million sellers on Vita within the next 12 months?

Yes, there will be 1 30 31.58%

Yes, there will be a few 29 30.53%

Not within 12 months 11 11.58%

No, never, DOOM all the way 25 26.32%

Total:95

Umg!

Sadly, I suspect it & Black Ops will be the only games joining Uncharted in the 1m club. Maybe LittleBigPlanet will get there because those games have legs.

Otherwise, games will be too regionally divided (i.e. God Eater; Killzone) to reach a million. That + digital is ever growing and ultimately eating a decent chunk (10% for most Vita games in Japan) of physical sales, which is all we track here.

I bought both ACIII:L and LBPV digital. Not now for 8 Euro, but shortly after they were released - so you may add +1 to the sales of both ;)

Same, LBPV was definitely worth the full price but ACL was kind of a dissappointment. Though console AC games aren't all that much better in my opinion (maybe except 4, I haven't played it yet but I love the setting).

Put GTA, GT, MH (a real one) and you got another million seller + all would do 2mil+ imo

Also doesn't help that in Europe there is no reliable figures for anything that publishers don't publically announce, meaning any EU release could both be grossly under or overtracked.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

AC liberation was on sale on psn all last month for 8euros here, considering the cheapest you would find it at retail is 20euros or more it's not that surprising that the number of physical sales on the Vita aren't so high but I would doubt that liberation didn't break the million sales mark with that sale recently.

The Vita is the first console I've seen that has a store where games are almost always cheaper than their physical counterparts, perhaps that is because there is a smaller user base so game stores give it less shelf space and far less room for their special offer section, I'm not sure. but Vita physical sales are not a good way to judge performance of a game on the platform imo.

Great example. I've been wanting to buy that game since it came out and finally decided to buy it when it dropped to 8euro.

I have around 10 retail copies and more than 40 digital games exluding ps+ games. Almost every single game I can think of costs more at retail. Dragon Ball Battle of Z is another example. £12 on psn and more than £20 in retail.

There are 4 game shops in the small enough town I live at, from Near there are 16+ psvita owners who bothered to allow near share location data but yeah... they don't even have that Dragon Ball Z game in stock here, only 1 of them I noticed got in a copy of God of War 1+2, so digital is the only real option unless you happen to live in a larger area where you'll find a game shop who is willing to use floor space for vita games.

Little big planets numbers are going to take a trashing at least in Europe.

if you already own a vita and want some extra space we got

which has a download code for LBP included

or if you've not bought the system yet you can get

so yeah you kinda have to be going out of your way to not already have ended up with a digital copy of the game, wipeout 2048 is on that pack too.
