 what are you talking about.. the PS3 has outsold the 360 for over 10 weeks now. It started January 1st and you know it.


Domination: I think we can agree refers to massive market share. Sorry this generation it will not happen. You can out sell the 360 for as many weeks as you would like but in the end that will only get you 2nd place.

Alright! PS3 is outselling the 360 on a weekly basis, now it'll ony take five years for the PS3 to actually overtake the 360 at this rate.

A console that is getting its worldwide-ass kicked since NOVEMBER 2007 is not really in what anyone would call "the right path to domination".

Sales are a nice way to back up ones opinion. However when a console is older and more people have it, it is obviously not going to sell as well as a newer machine. Sony dominance does not start until total sales of xbox are passed and the system is still selling more.

I could care less which console sells more mind you. I will have the best gaming console myself no matter even if its last in the sales race. Once PS3 is demolishing xbox and wii in games, I will be here posting about that.

Besides, if Japan was not biased towards American companies, and 360 was selling in the same ball park as PS3 in Japan, Xbox would still be winning the sales race. There is no logical reason what so ever why PS3 would sell 40,000 units and 360 5,000 in a week in Japan, other than brand name bias. Even the most hardcore Sony fanboys will have the hardest time arguing how PS3 is 8 times better than 360.

Another thought...which is a better console for gaming do you think? 360 manages to keep up with ps3 with one of the markets completely boycotting it and not including a "hot" new technology that has nothing to do with gaming. This is a year later with 7 million units more sold mind you. With a lesser recognizable brand name...

Again I say it, thank god for Sony's sake...and people who bought it thus far that PS3 has a bluray player.

so:

XBOX 360 sold from 30/1 to 03/02: 692.000

PS3 sold from 30/1 to 03/02: 985.000

Diference 293.000 every month

Consoles sold: 360: 17.08 million, PS3 10.18 million

Difference: 6.9 million

6.9 million / .293 million = less than 2 years

and this assuming that every month January-like (no christmas sales)
