Forums - Nintendo - Favorite Mario Kart 8 Track

The ones that really stand out for me - Mount Wario, Electrodome, Thwomp Ruins and Cloudtop Cruise. But there are so many more that I like - it's difficult to pick out a favourite this early on.

My favourite soundtrack by far is Thwomp Ruins.

Mount wario

Yep Mount Wario. Such a diverse track and downhill action all the way. The next MK needs a lot more of these. Reminds me of the fun times with DK Mountain.

Pretty much the entire Star Cup. Of those, I'd say Mount Wario...just stunning and reminds me of the awesome Wuhu Island courses in Mario Kart 7.

Also, pretty much all of the water courses are just stunning...Cheep Cheep Beach and Dolphin Shoals especially.

There also aren't any courses (New especially, but even the retro ones) that I DON'T like. I will say that the 3DS retro course selection is a little suspect though...especially since Music Park and DK Jungle come up ALL THE TIME in the online selection...and since they're so fresh from Mario Kart 7, I'm a little tired of them.

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

It's in the Star Cup. Either Mount Wario or Electrodrome. Probably the former now but the latter later.

As others have said, almost all tracks are excellent though. Aside from maybe Bone Dry Dunes, which I don't get for whatever reason :/

Sadly I don't see many say Sunshine Airport. Of course many other tracks are great too, but Sunshine Airport has such beautiful music and graphics and how the airplane flies above you is just a pure orgasm.

1. N64 Yoshi Valley
2. Mount Wario
3. DS Tick Tock Clock
4. Cloudtop Cruise
5. Either Sunshine Airport of Dolphin Shoals

It feels awkward to drive due to the way the course is designed. It feels like it's intentionally designed to feel unnatural to drive the certain way it's made. I like it, but it's still one of the weaker courses.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt about the whole thing. Maybe it'll come to me later on (does seem to be better now), but it's definitely down there.
