So it's arguably the best game of last gen, it got scores that shattered normal rating scales and went beyond the perfect 10. IGN wondered with MGS4 if a game could ever get a higher score than 10, and if it was possible, they said they'd certainly give it to MGS4.

So im asking the community, will any game ever surpass Uncharted 2, will there ever be a game that gets 12/10.

Destiny that 500$ million went to paying Ign for 12/10.

It got a 21/20 from one of europes biggest magazines

so its 10.5 but rounded up makes it 11/10

According to that magazine, no, according to other outlets, it's already been surpassed by dozens of games.

Funny you mention this, I actually saw a review for Batman Arkham City that gave it like a 6/5 or something. I think it might have been yahoo lol

Anyway, those kinds of "reviews" are a joke. Nothing is ever 100% perfect, nevermind better than perfect.

While uncharted 2 was a great game, it was hardly the best of the last gen. It wasnt even the best naughty dog game as the last of us was a better game in my opinion and im sure many others.

So yes, there will be better games. Also, if any publication is giving more than 10/10, I would think that would discredit their entire ratings scale. By definition, you can do better than perfect, which is what a 10/10 represents. I also dont think 10/10's should ever be given out, no matter how good the game is...
