It is amazing to see how far has Nintendo come over the past generations! I hope they continue to chug away and stay in business forever

Oh my god. I can't take so much information at onceeee! D:

Nice to see Hotel Dusk at the top! :)

Whatever happened to Cing employees?

This is really cool :D Nice find, Ryan!

I'll have to look at it more closely later.

Cool.

I'm missing Art Academy, but Mario Paint is in there though. Also, I don't know why Star Fox 2 gets to be in here, there's more cancelled games out there than only that one. At the very least a third Zelda Oracle game.

I'm still disappointed Nintendo didn't save CING or at least bought their IPs and employed their talents. :(

Ooooohhhh...

That's very awesome.

This is so cool. A few little mistakes, but still cool and very informative for the younger gamers. Not a lot of people are aware that Nintendo's been rocking games and hardware since the 1st gen.

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

There's an obvious mistake on the Mario line. NSMB Wii/U/NSLU belong on the mainline, the star hunter 3D games should be a branching path. Same story for the handheld games: NSMB 1+2 are the descendants of the first two Super Mario Land games while Super Mario 3D Land is not.

EDIT: Also, Mario Bros. is a branch of Donkey Kong, not a straight progression.

What about the 'Mario Remakes'?

SMA>2>3>4  =  SMB 2 (US) > SM World > Yoshi's Island > SMB 3

> Mario 64 (should be a branch)

The only bit I might agree with is that SM World might be the heir to SMB 2 (USA) and not SMB3. That would make NSMB Wii the true heir to SMB 3.

If Yoshi would have been in SMB 3 as planned, how do you think the family tree would play out?

I think SM World either wouldn't have been made and Nintendo go straight to Yoshi's Island or it would be a Mario cash-in aimed at USAsians just like SMB 2 (US) and NSMB-U.
