Are you guys freakin serious???

You better call customer support right now, there is a chance that they might give it to you if you explain the situation and... cry enough.

Out of curiosity why would they disallow the free game for registering early? I could understand not allowing it to be downloaded early but what ISO the big deal?

It is a promotion with a clearly defined set or rules.  They define the timeline so that they dont have to give away more free games then they have to.  Otherwise they would just pack a download code in with the game or something like that.

That would be why they put a back end date on the promotion- i get that-  but an eager fan buys the game early and makes a mistke by filing early-  I don t see the reaosn for holding back the game-  Is there any PRACTICAL reason for Nintendo not allowing him to still downlad it-?  Or is this one of those unexplainable Ninty policies?

Nope, you won't get your free game.

Don't know why people do this. There's actually a flyer for that promotion in the box of the game where all these information are clearly and readable.

In germany we say "Stupidity will be punished." Sorry for you, but it's your own fault.

In a German store I saw a sign saying "thieves end up in our trash bags". You guys are not kidding.

Why in the world would you register the game early? Why take the chance!? Hopefully for you the system won't care about how early you registered otherwise you'll just get treated like someone who registered too late. Pray to Satan and call customer service if you're unable to get the free game. Perhaps Nintendo will be nice, especially if a lot of people makes the same mistake.

Yeah I would contact Nintendo support right now. They are usually very friendly and will understand your mistake.

Yeah, calling ASAP would be recommended. Perhaps they can undo the registering or something.

Does it say that on the flyer? :p

Yep.

Yeah I just read a warning that says to NOT register your game before 10AM (assuming PT) on the 30th. Otherwise you lose out.
