Forums - Nintendo - (STILL GOT MY GAME) I registered my Mario Kart 8 copy before May 30th...

Nope, you won't get your free game.

Don't know why people do this. There's actually a flyer for that promotion in the box of the game where all these information are clearly and readable.

Out of curiosity why would they disallow the free game for registering early? I could understand not allowing it to be downloaded early but what ISO the big deal?

You won't get the game... you need to read those things carefully before you go around entering codes. You can call customer support but I'm sorry to tell you, Nintendo has no obligation to give you the free game, the rules where pretty clear...

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

It is a promotion with a clearly defined set or rules.  They define the timeline so that they dont have to give away more free games then they have to.  Otherwise they would just pack a download code in with the game or something like that.

Yeah I would contact Nintendo support right now. They are usually very friendly and will understand your mistake.
