Starting early June both PS4 and X1 will be priced at 399$ in the USA. Naturally, Americans prefer Xbox over Playstation but due to the huge 100$ price difference we saw PS4 doing much better. But from now on I predict that Xbox One will outsell PS4 every week in the US. 

Currently Xbox One is at 2,866,704 sold in US, PS4 is at 3,285,850 

How many weeks until Xbox One will officially take over US from PS4?

Please Understand: Americans choosing Xbox 360 over PS3 has as much influence over this generation as Americans choosing PS2 over Xbox does.

Half a year at the earliest. Possibly never.. Last thing i heard the kinectless sku werent even in the top 100 on amazon. Once it comes out we should have a clearer picture on the effect. Untill then this means nothing more than when people said titanfall would make the x1 overtake the ps4

Possibly very late this year or in the first half of next year, hard to say. With the slow summer coming and a marginally faster fall season, there is no proper way to eat up a 400k lead with the weekly numbers we're seeing from both.
If it happens; it will take a massive holiday for the One, which we very well could see when all is said and done.

I still think the One will take the US and possibly even the UK, when it has come into its own and hits its stride.

It's too early to say, we have no idea how XBO will sell at $399. Let's wait and see.

Its not just price, there is also a lot of negative press/consumer knowledge to get passed.

I know I'm still telling everyone to pick PS4 over Xbone.

Don't we already have a few threads asking this question? I might be mistaken but I thought we did. Also I wouldn't say that "naturally" Americans prefer XB over PS the US just chose the 360 over the PS3 last gen. That doesn't mean it will be the same this gen. Even though I do think that the XB1 has a chance to take the US but even if it does I think the number for the XB1 and PS4 in the US will be a statistical tie by the end of the gen in my opinion.

Frankly the only reason PS3 sold as much as it did in the U.s was because of how well PS2 did. So the 360 base in the country is a important factor to consider because they may well still upgrade to X1 if they are so inclined.

If MS does some legendary marketing, includes 2 great games per sku bundles, black friday and the holidays combined can push it over the top.
