Well, you have to understand that Nintendo's core has and will apparently always be, 'lighter' gaming experiences. I'm not necessarily going to say 'younger' since adults DO enjoy what they make. However, we do know that Nintendo's first party studios simply don't like making adult games. As long as that remains the case, Nintendo will always have an attraction to the younger crowd. I don't think 3rd party offerings will change that.

The games you pointed out for Wii were not meh games. Three were rail shooters which by default are niche genre, Madworld/CursedMountain were ok games, but wouldn't have sold millions on any console.

Bayonetta is not really that adult. Not even the nudity was above PG13 if I recall correctly.

Bayonetta will always been a niche game for the hack n slash audience and the audience is even smaller on a Nintendo audience, since they were never introduced to the game properly.

Nintendo is losing the kids to COD. The kids wont even know this game exists.

I don't think so, but Platinum Games risks losing all its costumers if they keep Bayonetta 2 exclusive to WiiU
