I never played the first Blue Dragon....was it really good?

I just got to the third disc and I like it a lot, the graphics are amazing, its like NNK where you feel like your playing an anime, but obviously not as good since it came out so early.  The gameplay is straight forward turn based, and I like the story, I've heard some people say they didn't like the story cause it took too long to get into, but I think its good. 


I might have to check it out. I have seen the anime but never played the game. And I like those kind of graphics so I might go ahead and do that if I can find it somewhere.

I think its an easy game to find, should be able to find it cheap on amazin, I got mine at the bargain bin at Walmart for $10.

Not nearly as good as Lost Odyssey.  Also its pretty short and easy.   You can also level up your characters in the game without acutally fighing all you have to do is put up a shield and go to area that has a lot of enemies and where they respan fast and run around and kill them on contact.

It's $9.99 used at Gamestop that is where I got my copy from but I think it was a bit cheaper when I got I think I paid $7.99.  Have it since November of 2010 didn't beat it until April of last year took a 2+ year between starting and beating it.  Lost Odssey on the other hand I beat the first time I got it which when I borrowed it from a friend bought my own copy of it last year.

Lol ur experience with Blue Dragon is kinda like mine with Lost Odyssey, I was even stupid and paid for that 1 year protection since it has 4 discs, but its already over and I haven't beat it, watch the last disc crap out on me.

If you go for a lot of the achievement you can spend a lot of time on it but if you just stick to the main campaign its pretty short not as short as the main campaign in Infinity Undiscoverd but still pretty short for a JRPG.

Yeah, heard a lot of people had issues with the last disc mine works perfectly both when I borrowed it and the copy I got now.  Still plan on getting all the achievements for it eventually also currently on my third playthrough.  First time new game plus playthrough since I lost the save file from the first time I played it due to a house fire four years ago.  The 4th disc is the best one but that is pretty much true with all JRPG's that come on multiple discs all the really good stuff happens on the last disc.
