He could've kept Victor Valdez if that's his replacement..

He got rid of Valdes because Valdes apparently refused to play for the second team, not because of his performance.

Nope.. still a rumour.. its kinda slow.. for example in Germany i think the others won't even try to compete with Bayern.. maybe the market has blown up by these ridicilous prices and everybody is waiting till the last few days sales..

Didn't Valdes respond to that by posting pictures of himself with the second team though?

Yeah, he did. But they say he only agreed to play against City, Chelsea and Liverpool AKA big teams.
