What sucks the most is that Barca had a missed penalty, plenty of crossbars and so many close chances. They were so fucking unlucky and Chelsea was so fucking lucky. I recognize that defending is a tactic and I don't blame Chelsea for using it against us, but holy shit they were so lucky that night.

Who knows.. i think we'll all say that they have no chance but i haven't seen them playing to give a good opinion on them..  I think most of us don't follow italian football cause they have gone down hill a lot since 2010.. is this year a fluke that they are performing so well? or is italy really back?

Because a team who is parking the bus gives up on playing static offense. If somehow they end in possession of the ball and the other team had time to position itself chances are it's gonna end up in a long pass to not lose their defensive stance.

They're defending not to get the ball quickly to keep attacking, but to stall the other team. They pretty much rely on mistakes of the other team (or the referee) to score.

This tactic is usually coupled with repetitive fouls to cancel any momentum the other team may build and piss off the other players, plus time-losing tricks if they score, depriving the mach of any fludity in the process.
