Uruguay won because Suarez latched on to a stupid error from Gerrard. Suarez is literally one of the best in the world. They didnt win because they were a better team. They won because they got the lucky bounce/ error from SG.

As I recall the bolded could have been applied to both goals. 

Again not defending our defending (ha) but even if we do go out in the groups, for my money there's far more positives to take from this than 2010.

I agree. all those statistics don't mean jack if you don't put the ball in the net. 

Gerrard screwed up against Chelsea and now again against Uruguay. I am not blaming him, no one is perfect. Against teams with quality strikers possession means little.

You cannot have a team at Suarez's level. That's impossible, you cannot find 10 other players like him.

The best you can do is build a very good team around him.


Of course not.  I know it's almost impossible.

I meant a team capable of facing RM, Barcelona, Bayern and other.     Suarez is brilliant, but the rest of LFC squad is made of 5/10 players.

I think Ibra is pretty much the only striker you can argue is better than Suarez. They're both incredible.
