Vs Uruguay we had over 60% of the possession. We had more shots. More shots on target. We were the better team, we just lacked in finishing.

Uruguay won because Suarez latched on to a stupid error from Gerrard. Suarez is literally one of the best in the world. They didnt win because they were a better team. They won because they got the lucky bounce/ error from SG.

I agree. all those statistics don't mean jack if you don't put the ball in the net. 

Gerrard screwed up against Chelsea and now again against Uruguay. I am not blaming him, no one is perfect. Against teams with quality strikers possession means little.
