Weird that most of the people in the stadium are supporting Algeria.

Belgium is not playing that well. I don't know how people expected them to score 4+ goals against Algeria.

Well this is shaping up to be a dull match indeed.

But...a penalty?

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

lol stupid

Just saw the TV ratings in Germany.
almost 10 million watched Iran vs. Nigeria. I was one of them lol.

In the US average viewing is ~7 million per match, which is record highs and more impressive when many games ar eplayed while vast majority of people are at work.

For example the US v. Ghana match yesterday had more people watching than the NBA Final did.

US v. Ghana: ESPN - 3.7 million, Univsion - 3.8 million, WatchESPN - 1.4 million, Total - 8.9 million (which is quite a lot for a sporting event here)

Also, keep in mind this was on cable so many people (like myself) had to go out to watch it. I have no idea how they quantify 200 people crammed into a pub watching television in ratings, but safe to say this world cup will set new high water marks here.
