Not even here I can dodge this shit?

Nothing is secure, except that Barcelona won't play in the Catalonian league.

If they want to prove the desire for independence, wouldn't forming a Catalonian league be important? FC Barcelona is Catalonia's biggest symbol, and forming a a league would signify Barcelona being leaders of Catalonia.

I just wonder if the UEFA would even allow 2 countries which can easily host their own professional league to play in a shared league, simply because it could set an awful precedent. If clubs from an independent Catalonia can play in 1 league together with Spanish teams or French teams (some people have also suggested this), what's stopping for example clubs form France, England and Germany playing 1 league to form a Super League?

Also, comparing clubs from countries like Monaco playing in the French league or clubs from San Marino playing in the Italian league to Catalan clubs playing in the Spanish league isn't really a fair comparison. Countries like Monaco and San Marino are from micro-states unable to host a professional league of their own. Comparing it to Welsh teams playing in the English leagues also isn't really fair, that goes back over a century and Wales still has their own league as well, if 1 Catalan team gets granted entry into the Spanish league there's no reason why other Catalan teams wont demand that as well.

If Catalonia successfully gains independence (they wont), it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if UEFA forces them to have their own league. Personally I also think that every country should host their own league if they're able to do so.

We have it here in the UK. Swansea are a Welsh team but play in the English Premier League.

Cardiff another welsh team plays in the english leagues. It wouldn't be unprecedented for Barcelona to still play in La Liga if they gained independence.

And Catalan teams playing in the Spanish league doesn't go back over a century? I expect Catalonia would have their own league too, the big teams may just prefer to stay in the Spanish league, just like the big Welsh teams in the English leagues.

The whole point of Catalonia becoming independent would be to prove they can govern themselves without needing the Spanish government. Staying in La Liga would show the opposite, that they are reliant on Spain. As for Wales, last time I checked they did not gain independence from the UK.

While that may all be true, FC Barcelona aren't owned by the government, they are a business. And for both sporting and economic reasons they'd be better off staying in the Spanish leagues.

Nobody would really benefit from it. Not La Liga, not Real Madrid and not Barcelona.

Exactly, there's no sense for Barcelona to leave la Liga if Catalonia gains independence.

Right now the whole point of Catalonia becoming independent is that some ex-politicians of Catalonia need it to avoid ending up in jail due to corruption, and to fill their pockets with even more money. And if that damages catalonian businesses and citizens, then so be it.
