I just wonder if the UEFA would even allow 2 countries which can easily host their own professional league to play in a shared league, simply because it could set an awful precedent. If clubs from an independent Catalonia can play in 1 league together with Spanish teams or French teams (some people have also suggested this), what's stopping for example clubs form France, England and Germany playing 1 league to form a Super League?

Also, comparing clubs from countries like Monaco playing in the French league or clubs from San Marino playing in the Italian league to Catalan clubs playing in the Spanish league isn't really a fair comparison. Countries like Monaco and San Marino are from micro-states unable to host a professional league of their own. Comparing it to Welsh teams playing in the English leagues also isn't really fair, that goes back over a century and Wales still has their own league as well, if 1 Catalan team gets granted entry into the Spanish league there's no reason why other Catalan teams wont demand that as well.

If Catalonia successfully gains independence (they wont), it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if UEFA forces them to have their own league. Personally I also think that every country should host their own league if they're able to do so.
