What the heck are you talking about? Sony have said they're predicting 17 million sales of PS4/PS3/PS2 by April. This article just gets it ALL kinds of wrong. Did you not read the link I posted?

The viable numbers would be:

- PS3 + PS4 totalizing 17M between March 2014 - March 2015 or

- PS4 reaching 17M lifetime by March/April 2015

 

Of course, these are pretty conservative numbers. Other than that, they would have to do some bold predictions and I don't believe that. Like you said, probably it's the second option.



Bet with jetforcejiminy: PS4 will pass the Wii lifetime numbers.

anyway, it's obviously underestimated by a lot, just to be able to say " wow ! It's so much better than our first estimations, look shareholders look !"

You have to pay attention.  Click the link and read the article (you didn't do that did you).  Sony wants to sell 10 million PS4 consoles by April 2015.  You can guess the other 7 million consoles buy 2016.  It says 17 million in 2015, not by 2015.
