Beyond good and evil. I could not even make it through the demo of the HD remake, loved the game at the time.

That's one of the few games I got 100% of the Achievements for!  I'm e-mailing you a punch.

People's tastes age differently I guess. I also saw someone not liking R&C 1 HD remake, I platted that one. I enjoyed most ps2 HD collections. But you're right about the dual stick usage in the ps2 days, no standard yet. (Then the wii comes along and replaces the 2nd stick with waggle, and r&c all 4 one forces a fixed perspective doh)

This is the story of PS1 games, they have aged terribly. That said I think some games are games of their time.

Almost everything Nintendo falls into this category. I said "almost". There's a very small modicum that doesn't.

Many 5th gen games. Ugly 3D (especially the moving PS1 textures), around 15 FPS, bad cameras and clunky controls.
Even the best games of that gen didn't age that well.

Sacred 2. I put in over 120 hours into that game when it was fresh. Last year I decided that I'd revisit it because I only need 3 trophies for the Platinum. It turned out to be a huge mistake! It was Family Matters all over again. I loved it back then but now all the flaws are at the surface and is just plain terrible!

Yeah I got one of the Crash Bandicoot games, and Crash Team Racing a few weeks ago when they were on sale, and they weren't as fun as I remember.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

On odd experience I had was playing Mario Kart 64 after Double Dash where I almost found it unplayable. The thing was I had not played 64 that long before that, but then after not playing Double Dash for awhile I found 64 perfectly fine again.

WWF Smackdown 2: Know Your Role. I played the hell out of the game back then. So did my brother. But right now, the story mode, the graphics... they don't live up to today's standards. Sure, the backstage areas were sweet, and the unlockables were appreciated, but it doesn't motivate me to pick up the controller.

I was gonna say Driver and Driver 2, but those games are still addicting for me. Sure, graphics are bad, but I found them engaging because, even if they lacked graphic power, they jumpstarted my imagination. And yes, I like Driver 2 and I don't regret admitting it.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

Bad Dudes VS Dragonninja (Arcade/NES)

Most RPGs battle systems are to slow for me now days, 80's 90's 00's except a couple (but very few can I truly enjoy anymore honestly) Don't get me wrong though some are timeless for me Phantasy Star 2, FF1, (currently playing through FF3 NES, but the jobs system on it is rather annoying, and another 4 Warriors of Light story is pretty damn cliche for the series 3rd installment imho) FF4, Grandia 2 those are timeless for myself.

The whole PS1/PS2/PS3 and even PS4 era will be filled with games that have sluggish gameplay. It's the way its always been. Remember Pitfall, River Raid, Burgertime etc.
