From what I was able to notice from that pics, lower resolution, rougher shadows and lack of ambient occlusion on X1.

"Starting from the top, then, there has been a surprising amount of confusion surrounding the resolution of the game with some sources even suggesting a native 1080p presentation. We can finally put that rumour to rest right here and confirm that Mario Kart 8 instead operates at what is effectively the console's standard 1280x720" http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-vs-mario-kart-8
lol @ they can finally put the rumour to rest |
So mario kart does run at 1080p?
PS4 version, here I come!
Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.
Looks like the only difference is that ps4 has better shadows and light sources. But that's about it. They look very similar. Moreso than previous comparisons.
PS4 also looks smoother.

The lighting in the ps4 version really stood out to me. Imo it looked better.
Switch the PS4 and XO labels and I belive people would still say the PS4 is better in some minor way.
For I can see, both are as close as we can get even with such a small resolution delta.
Theres hardly any difference. The biggest difference I can see is in the trees where the PS4 looks clearer and smoother.
