For a lot of gamers, there has been a time at one point or another when you returned/sold/etc. a game you liked or didn't realize you liked until after it was gone.

Whether or not you re-own it now is irrelavent, the question I'm asking you is: What game was it and why?

For me it was Pokemon Stadium 2. I really liked that game, however at one point or other I decided to sell it so I'd have enough for a GBA SP, which I did. GBA SPs are fairly common nowadays, same cant be said for Pokemon Stadium 2 which is a bit more rare. I'll probably re-buy it when I have the chance

I seriously can't think of any game I have lost/sold in my entire life. My friends were always honest, didn't steal any games and so on... Guess I'm really lucky not to have my shit stolen and/or being forced to sell it in need for money, so I never felt regret.

Carmack autographed copy of Quake 1. Gave it to someone as a gift. Wish I could rewind on that one as I doubt very many of them exist, unless you go to Quakecon and try to get a signature. I've heard he doesn't like to sign much though.

The Twin Snakes. It was a used copy without a case, but still, I should have hung on to it.

My brother gave away one of my favorite PS2 games: Twisted Metal Black.

I gave away LaPucelle Tactics, still kind of want to beat it.

I also gave away Rumble Racing, then my friend lost it. One of the funnest games coop.

I never understood the concept of selling games.
On the one hand they're complaining that consoles aren't backwards compatible and that they can't store enough games on a hard drive and on the other hand they're selling their old games and consoles. I do not own any game that I would sell since I love them.

I never trade / sell my old games, so I never really had this problem.

I did however LOSE one game in my collection... or rather, a buddy of mine lost it (I think one of his friends took it when I lent it to him), and that was Zelda II on NES. I ended up picking up a used copy complete with box and manual at Funcoland back in the day, and I only paid like $7 if I remember correctly.
