From the Penzoil promotion to the latest Mario Kart 8 commercials, you can’t say Nintendo’s been twiddling their thumbs with the marketing of Mario Kart 8. What’s next for the million seller franchise? NASCAR.

Catch Mario Kart 8 on the No. 20 Toyota this week on NASCAR, a race being broadcasted on ABC, SiriusXM channel 90, and PRN Radio.

Tomorrow, May 23, 2014, 200 lucky fans won’t just get the opportunity to collect an autograph from NASCAR racer Matt Kenseth at Joe Gibbs Racing, but, on behalf of GameStop, they also be one of the lucky few to try out Mario Kart 8 at the event before the Wii U titles launches on next week.

Matt Kenseth: “I like going back to Charlotte and running the Nationwide Series race. I made my first series start there a long time ago, so it’s always been a special track for me and it’s always fun to go back there and compete. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been in this No. 20 car, but I’m looking forward to getting back to work with these guys because I think that Kevin (Kidd) and the guys have done a great job already this season. JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing) has a great performance record at Charlotte as well, so I’m looking forward to good things from our GameStop team this weekend.”

NASCAR is kinda big as people who love racing with kids will surely want this.

Godzilla trailer is good too as its the right market. Good choices big N.

I don't think NASCAR is the best marketing option for a kart racer.

They also have commercials before X-Men.

Nintendo would be wise to have Reggie make an appearance on Fallon (The Tonight Show) to showcase the game like he used to do occasionally on Late Night.

My jaw literally just dropped. I've been disappointed with MK8's ad support thus far, but this? THIS is huge. Fucking NASCAR!?

Also Movie theaters, people claiming it before watching Xmen+Godzilla in theaters!

and i heard there were adds before godzilla though i didn't get any of them but i did expendables 2 and titanfall adds for like the millionth time when i saw godzilla
