I picked PS2, as its dominance forced Nintendo to go down the slippery path of appealing to different markets. I know this ebcause I was a Nintendo gamer until the 7th gen.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Id say Genesis, there was real bad blood with tv/print ads going after eachother. Sony/PS has been more of a slow burn, taking the market but not much cutthroat press in my memory
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

That's funny, because I totally did.
My most hated consoles ever are the N64 or the PS2, probably an edge to the PS2 though the seeds were planted by the N64

I'm confused at the premise of this thread. are you asking people that only play nintendo consoles what they think? But you are including nintendo consoles too...
Personally, can't really say I have ever loathed a game console before. Seems kind of silly to loathe a piece of hardware. I was pretty annoyed with Nintendo during the tail end of the last generation because they were sitting on a trio of good games that were released everywhere else in the world except here. With the games already translated into english, it was one of those scenarios where I wanted to give them my money, but they wouldn't let me.
So yeah, don't really loath any systems, but I can be annoyed with the way the companies behind them behave sometimes. I guess I will organize your list from favorite to least favorite.
ps1- a lot of the best games ever made were on this system! still my favorite console.
ps2- also has a ton of great games!
other- 360,ps3, ps4, snes, n64 would fill this space. In that order.
GC- one of the best controllers ever! great games!
Genesis- Shining Force! nuff said!
xbox- played my first Bioware games on this puppy!
Wii U- Good console, gamepad is great
Wii- Started strong, finished weak...
x1- don't have one, can't really give an opinion on it...
