This is the new way to buy games guys. Get use to it. Plus they have given out free maps. No need to bitch over this.

Not all games do this. Tons of games today only sell vanity items as DLC.

And selling gameplay modes is just inexcusable.

I think it would be much better to give a co-op modus for free but sell the extra maps for money. Without purchasing the extra maps you could still play  the competetive  multiplayer but to play co-op you have to pay.

Nope definitely better the way it is, selling maps in FPS games is shit, because not everyone gets them so the community is split and those that bought them struggle to get games on them.

Plus the game mode can be shared with a friend for free, not everyone in your friend group has to buy the season pass, just 1 person thats online has to of bought the additional mode.

no. selling maps is much worse, it's the worst thing any MP game can do. I've never bought a map pack and I never will. Paid maps segregate the community within the same game modes! Selling co-op will not have any kind of negative effect on the competetive part (maybe slightly lower the overall population, but that's it). Selling maps has nothing but a negative effect on everything.

I applaud GG for what they are doing and only wish that more studios do the same.

It's sad that we live in a time where publishers are put on a pedestal for giving away three free maps, and then turning around and charging you for gameplay options.

If anything, it should be the other way around.
