Price drop should help the PS3 and maybe give it a few more months of life.

My first reaction is that maybe the 12gb PS3 aren't really selling so they just sell off what they have and stopped production for it.

But now im interested in the hopes of an even slimmer PS3 or a PS3 add-on to the PS4.

They should just drop the price for the 12 gb to 149 and the 500 GB to 199 or heck even introduce a 1tb model at the same 199 price.

Off topic: I also think MS needs a drastic price drop as well. When was the last time the 360 even had a price drop?

Are they really trying to increase  PS3 sales now ?

If Sony can keep the current demand  for PS3 while reducing manufacture costs.  It's more profits for them, isn't it ?

New model doesn't necessarily means price cut.


Current demand is falling.  Whats hard to understand?  It will be dead next year.


Your logic that PS3 is going to be dead next year.

Sony wont increase the HDD size on PS3 without doing the same for PS4. They don't want advertising to come out "Oh the PS3 has a bigger hDD than PS4", doesn't look good for them regardless of what matters.

I would like to see a PS3 price drop. It ain't dead yet :)

Someone posted earlier in this thread showing the GBA add-on onto the Gamecube, something along that line.
