Without divulging spoilers, this has some of the most awesome monster scenes in the genre; one finishing move in particular was incredibly badass and had the cinema I saw it at cheering.

I thought it was good if not filled with a few american cliches. The Japanese guys seemed to be only there for say Godzilla and look confused a lot. The human aspects was only okay, maybe not even needed. Maybe if they didn't have dialog, made it near a silent film, it might have been great.

The fight scenes along make it worth seeing.

Yeah, some people did where I was too. He just sounded so serious when he said that haha.


Probably because they're typical "dumb Americans" who just think it's a silly foreign guy who can't properly pronounce the word "Godzilla", instead of realizing that the name of the first movie (and the actual Japanese name of the monster) is "Gojira", which isnt' a bad translation of "Godzilla", it's the other way around. Don't get me wrong, I love the name Godzilla, it's what I grew up with, and what I know him as. But the word "Godzilla" has zero meaning. So people laughing are laughing for the wrong, and dumbest, of reasons.

I think you are taking it the wrong way.  Many people here know that, but even more know that is the classical way of pronoucing the name.  It was like an inside joke tribute, they were happy to hear it, got the joke, and found it funny.  They laughed because they liked the joke.

It is very much a film for the fans.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

I didn't see it in America. I saw it in a place where there are people from all over the world and many who's first language is not English, and the audience still laughed at the way he said it.
