| NintendoPie said: No. The Wii U killed off the Wii, then proceeded to crap all over it's legacy, and then ended up being a failure. There's nothing I can be happy about when it comes to that. Especially the first part. I would've been much happier if Nintendo showed the Wii U at E3 2011 and then told us how they would never make such a embarrassingly awkward console that would kill off one of their best. |
Holy macaroni! Such venom. Auditioning for Maleficent 2?
OT: Pretty happy. Backwards compatibility is great, e shop is getting better but long way to go and account system would be great. So, they can have all the games ready for its successor instead of having to do it all over again like this time. Game releases are few but very good quality, gives more time for forum surfing, which is much more important.
Important to see how they send it off though. The next years would be interesting.

You, soundwave and oniyide are always welcome. What would these threads be without you guys.
Sorry to those whose names i am forgetting.
I don't have a Wii U, but it seems like a great secondary console. Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, X, Zelda U, Sonic Lost World, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, it's a solid library. Throw in a new Metroid, and I'm all set.
As a main console, it's obviously terrible. Maybe not so much now, but it will get worse. But when it comes to being just complementary, it sounds like one of the most enjoyable secondary consoles ever.

yes.
I can see nintendo is having problems with HD development, just like the other companys in the beginning of last gen, anybody remember how beautiful were the games in 2006, 2007...? But even with problems, they delivered some incredible good looking games. I'm not going to be some other people and whinning about the lack of games on a one year and half console with no third party support, just get over it... games will come, nintendo may be the only developer, but it is nintendo. and I don't remember being dissatisfied playing a nintendo game
We reap what we sow
Nintendo has been a very busy company. Building buildings so its R & D can come together under one roof. The long road of learning how to make HD games, and learning their hardware. Then putting out enough games to please customers so there will be no more game drouts... In less then two years I think now I'm beginning to be happy, proud and excited at the same time.
I picked none of the above. I don't agree with any of the options.
No. They should have done have done a much better job.

Uh, yeah. Titanfall is still going strong in the charts and the Xbox One is still not beating the PS4 and 3DS, nor has it overtaken the Wii-U in total sales yet (not saying that means it can't, given that the Wii-U has a full year's head start), with the two of them having fairly comparable sales when neither has much going on if you recall.
Mario Kart is about to release which could well give the Wii-U a burst that gives it a few precious weeks back ahead of the PS4 (perhaps even getting back ahead in overall sales for a brief window). This could offset the negativity a good bit, and give the Wii-U the chance to really get back into the game. While I wouldn't expect that to last, and think "the PS4 has won the generation", I don't see anything stopping the Wii-U from rivalling and perhaps even beating the Xbox One.
Unless you're counting the 3DS and Vita; then its a two tier battle with the 3DS and PS4 at the top and I do not see that chaning.
Yeah, this thing shouldn't be sucking more money. That's why they must stop releasing games and move noto the next console.
