Gears of War 4 is still in the concept/prototype stage, new-in-charge developer Black Tusk has revealed.

"It's only been 100 days," project boss Rod Fergusson said in the inaugural Black Tusk webcast. "I can't go into a lot of depth about a lot of things. This isn't going to be the place where I announce the name of the next game and all these sorts of things. Obviously it's going to take some time to get to a point where we can do some stuff like that."

He added: "We are in what we would call the concept/prototype stage, so again, we're really super early."

I'm guessing we wont see this till 2016 at the earliest then :(

That means no gear trailer...

1 thing though, If halo 5 comes out next fall.. gears of war ..fall 2016? very long wait. :(

Thats a given because their rumored game "shanghist" or whatever it was called got cancelled. But the most exciting thing is about new direction. Also I will be glad if they put gamers to see what happened at E-Day.

No one had expected anything different.

Wonder what will come first, Gears of War 4 or God of War 4, have a feeling they'll both release in 2016.

In the meantime I think a Gears of War trilogy remaster for X1 with 3's mp running on dedicated servers would help tide the fans over until Gears 4.

Not surprising MS only just recently got the Gears of War IP a few months ago.
