The controls are poor indeed.

It was unplayable to me before the patch and merely ok thereafter. It's a poor shooter imo. And the hit detection is even worse.

I thought Gears kicked Uncharted's ass ito gameplay.

There was a patch cause people didn't like the new shooting mechanics, you can change it in the options menu (either from in-game or only from the top menu, can't remember). Maybe that'll help.

I don't think the game itself is bad, just the shooting. The fist fighting (In my opinion) blows the first two games out of the water, I think the story is better than 1 and 2 so far, but I'm not sure if the level design is better than Uncharted 2 or not.

Overall, it just feels less "Uncharted" than the first two games, especially at the very beginning. Tuxedos in Uncharted = WTF

I actually didn't notice any difference, I wouldn't have known there was unless someone told me.

Download and install the patch, then go to options and you can change it to UC2 shooting style.

It is harder, but it i suppose to be. They said int he making of documentary that they had previously determined where the bullets would go in the previous games which is unrealistic, but they changed it in U3 so that you actually have to steady your weapon and line it up right to hit your target. I like it better because it makes the bullet trajectory accurate.It may take some time getting used to it, but I have mastered it after playing it so much.U3 is still a great game, but u2 may be the best game of last generation.

The game overall is not as good as 2 all around, IMO.

One of the most over-hyped games I've ever played (really average)

Edit: Yes I didn't like the shooting mechanics at all.

I had no issues, but not sure if I had the patch or not people are mentioning here. Overall the game was more of Uncharted 2 which was fine as enjoyed it. For me the first Uncharted is easily the worst, I even prefer the Vita Uncharted more.

The game encourages burst fire and thats the way shooters should be.
