Pokemon X and Y to be the best online Nintendo experience for this generation still? Even X and Y had invite to game option!

We are going to have voice chat in lobbies now? Do I need a headset?

You only need a headset if you actually care about what people in lobbies say, of course.

In my case, that's a no.

THANKS, OBAMA

Public voice chat is far more trouble than its worth.

Invites, meanwhile, can be staged through the system's messaging feature, or through websites that you can access through the embedded web-browser.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The moment Nintendo announces a patch to allow this, 100% of the "I don't cares" will be "HELL YEAH FRIEND INVITES." I wish I lived in a world where everyone was as unbiased and secure as myself, but alas, it shan't be.

Pretty much this.

Plus if you don't want to listen to someone, there's always the mute option. If you don't want to talk to anyone at all, use parental controls to disable voice communication altogether (360 had this). Why not give the rest the option to talk to others in lobbies? I met a lot of like minded people to play with through random online lobbies. The fact that we're still talking about this not being a feature in this day and age is just sad.

I just wish people would call their favourite companies out more often for the stupid decisions they make as opposed to just blindly support everything they do.

Hasn't zero been constantly saying Nintendo is on par with sony and ms with online?

They said that on MK8 direct...

Well, im not into multiplayers, but yeah, this sux.

I don't wanna use it anyway. I mean, I'd be forced to use the gamepad to plug my mic while playing with the pro controller
