This may just be a new low in game journalism.

1. Amazon is a mediocre at best indicator of overall sales.
2. There is no reason to expect any kind of shortage... so why preorder it?
3. It's not a limited edition of any sort... so why preorder it?
4. If you're the kind of person who is up on the announcements, and wants an XBox One enough to preorder a month in advance, was the price tag really stopping you? Especially when...
5. The Titanfall bundle is basically $50 more than the Kinectless bundle?

Just utter stupidity. The price drop is not going to cause a huge surge in sales, especially when it's not exactly a price cut. It's a long term strategy that will bear fruit over the holidays if and when Microsoft releases compelling titles for the XBox One.

What needs to be done is a total redesign ala PS3 Slim along with a total company shift (which they've already started). I believe if they did that, you'd see a drastic turnaround. 

Phil should name it the Day 1XX Special edition because they already have a Day 1 Special edition. Appeal to that Star Wars addicted crowd..., if XB has a crowd like that.

I still bet this XBOX will sell big during the holidays, but I know that is a ways off. This year has gone pretty fast if you ask me. IF their sales don't increase because of this price drop/kinectless then that is just a fail, and they should have waited until Christmas and surprised Sony more so...if that is even possible or just raked in 100.00 sales for the next 5 months till Christmas. Then dropped a Kinectless bundle Ya feel me bro! Phil Spencer got all excited and blew his load I think...

I mean honestly I'd rather get the Titan fall one.

If you plan on buying TitanFall its a better deal obviously, even if you don't want the Kinect

XB1 + Kinect + TitanFall = 450

XB1 = ~400

TitanFall Bundle > Kinectless XB1

Why wait till June, when you can get the better deal now?
