Ok so 4 days in,how are the pre-orders?

Not even in top 100 on amazon. It's a bad sale, won't help much. The TF bundle is cheaper actually!

It will take some time, I don't think many casual "hardcore" players that make up MS' bread and butter really realize this happened.

It will come into play more for MS as the summer and especially the fall goes on IMO.

But still a lot of people may still opt for the Kinect version ... if I was going to get a XB1, I would probably go that route just to get the TV voice command stuff and maybe the occassional Kinect game when family is over.

What? I will ask again. What is the incentive to pre-order a Kinect-less Xbox One.  Why not simply wait until the arrive at local retailers.  If someone isnt getting something special by pre-ordering what is the incentive. It isnt like this is the launch of the console. Especially with the with Kinect Titanfall bundle still availble.

I wouldn't expect there to be many pre-orders at all for Kinectless Xb one. Firstly, supply won't be a problem so people won't be pre-ordering out of fear they won't be able to walk into their nearest console retailer and buy one. Secondly who pre-orders a lower featured product re-launch when the full featured product is in plentiful supply right now?

I don't think low pre-orders in this situation is much of an indicator of likely demand in June.

399 kinectles x1 is not going to make a big difference. Ps4 will still easily do better even in the US.

Why the hell would you preorder something that's already out? Nobody preorders specific console bundles after said console has already been on the market for more than half a year.

We'll see how the first week numbers turn out for the $399 Kinect-less SKU and if it can maintain any sales momentum in the weeks and months after that.
