Here's my perfect Mario Kart 8 DLC within reason.

4 DLC Cup Packs in total:

Balloon Cup Pack - $6.99

- Diddy Kong + "Hover Kart" + 4 retro Diddy Kong Racing tracks

Zero Cup Pack - $6.99

- Dry Bones + Blue Falcon Kart + 4 retro F-Zero tracks

Hammer Cup Pack - $6.99

- Bowser Jr. + New Kart + 4 completely new and original tracks

Boomerang Cup Pack - $6.99

- Nabbit + New Kart + 4 completely new and original tracks

Season Pass - $25

All 4 Cup Packs [Balloon Cup Pack + Zero Cup Pack + Hammer Cup Pack + Boomerang Cup Pack] + Kirby + Star Kart + 3 retro Battle Mode arena's.

You forgot the Battle Arena DLC.

I didn't, lol. Look at the season pass.

So we learned today that your posts are too long to read them to the end.

Also since when is ther content in season passes that is not in the individual DLCs?

Common 90 Meta rating! Damn NWR for dragging the score down. Hopefully there will be a few more 100's or 90's to bring it up a bit.

You're right. The game is total trash if that doesn't happen.

Lol, well obviously not. I have a bet going on with a buddy of mine that MK8 would hit at least 90 on meta, which is why I am hoping for a few higher reviews because i like to be right!

The primary complaints seem to be battle mode, lack of many basic function in the online mode and some wasted opportunities with some of the characters (such as the babies).

Other than that it's been mostly positive :D

Just watched the IGN review.

The Battle Mode without Arenas really bums me out. Why would they even do that?

So is it like Wipeout 2048, where the battles are done in regular tracks? If so, that could work out really well.

Either some people in this thread can't tell when others are joking (I know, its tough on the internet), or everybody is joking... I just don't know anymore

Anyways, good scores...better than I expected. Hopefully it works its way up to 90 but I believe it will just go down. I find it hard to believe that many places will give over a 9

It already didn't work out because everyone is complaining about it.

Nintendo World Report confirmed for most unbiased media outlet :^)

NWR confirmed as click bait trash.

So a 7.5 is "click bait trash" but an 8.0 is OK? What's the difference? Most sites grade on a .5 grading system so they've essentially given the game 1 point lower than an 8.0. Is that really so criminal?

What's the difference? Basic math!!

A 7.5 compared to a 9.0. The 8.0's seem to be undercutting it, and a 7.5 i.e 75% is lower again. If you still don't understand, let me explain in a more basic way. If a man has 80 children and 75 chocolate chips, 5 children will not get a chocolate chip. If he has 80 chocolate chips., each child will get a chocolate chip. In this scenario, the better the game, the more points it receives. Because 80 would be a higher number than 75, 75 would indicate that the game is worse than games that were rated, say for example, a 76 or a 79.

Again, Basic Math!! My 3 year old understand. And she watches Super Why! Is it a big deal to me? NO! But many people will google it, see 75 and avoid it. That is a sad fact, but a fact nonetheless.

You're being saracstic right? I mean, no one could possible feel the need for others approval to buy a game?

Good reviews. It looks to be typically scoring a 90 with most outlets, with a few lower scores bringing the average down slightly to 89. It really looks excellent.

There are certainly lots of complaints, but I'm still anxious to try it. After reading more, it sounds exactly like Wipeout, which was really fun. Plus you can add bots.

Battle mode has been in decline since Mario Kart 64, anyway, so I don't mind the shake-up.
