Forums - Nintendo - Why I am cautiously optimistic for Nintendo's E3 "Digital Event"

I fully agree and with the direction I've seen the NDs take this year I am fully amped for their digital event. Granted I'm on the rare side of thinking there is not major difference in the ND vs conf approach, but yes they have substantially improved their digital presentations as of late.

BTW, I don't normally read such long OPs, but man that was well done. Take note large OP creators, make it look good and well written and people will read them.

Now I'm crossing fingers on some massive surprises to be had!

I like Iwata's english. Bill Trinen is second best. Reggie just hypes and not much else.

0 expectations given the history of disappointments. Im not expecting anything unexpected.

Which is the reason why i think they dont spend the money at E3 anymore. Its was a snoozefest last year, i expect nothing different this year.

There is a small chance i am wrong, but under better management it would be much more likely.

That's kind of an ignorantly pessimistic way of looking at things.

realistic. history is my reference.

Just curious. What would you like from Nintendo? I mean most if not all of their stuff doesn't fit into the liquor and gun fun persona.

I'd like to applaud you for understanding that that wasn't an insult, lol. Hoorah.

I would like to be surprised. i know they can make great games, making a big deal of cranky kong for dk was the dagger in the heart of hope. Its hard to take them serious.

maybe it will get better, its just hard to believe it.

You put alot of effort into that post spemanig.

I will synthesise my thoughts a bit more. ;)

I believe Nintendo has something good planned for this E3. Zelda U will no doubt be shown, X will no doubt materialise into firm details, Fire emblem X SMT might get shown for the first time and i believe they will have one final surprise. Be it starfox, metroid or something else. I am sure it will be a good show.
They did feel the need to announce the new Pokémon outside the event, so i can only imagine that they wanted the time to focus on something else.

At any rate, i hope they deliver because we need a strong Ninty. A strong Ninty means more good games, and we all benefit from that.

We can only hope. I'm just excited about the new shit, especially what Pokken Fighters may turn out to be!
