Thats like asking "Virtual Boy vs. Oculus/Morpheus"
Virtual Boy did something ahead of its time but was terrible while the Oculus/Morpheus are less innovative but have far better execution....
Some of my happiest memories in gaming are tied to the dreamcast. That VMU made me smile. It was cool to carry it around and exchange save files with other gamers.
Good times

I still love the little beep when you first power on the Dreamcast. And the DC is the first console that let me download saves from the Internet. Couldn't beat a certain part on MDK2? No prob, just download someone's save that puts you on the stage right after it. Wanted perfect chao in Sonic Adventure 1/2 or every single item in Power Stone 2? Only a download away.
Gamepad. I love my Dreamcast, but the battery dies after like an hour, and very few games did anything with it.

I think it was also the first console to have online leaderboards. I swore my thumbs were going to fall off because of Crazy Taxi. Good times.
The gamepad because it receives and displays images before the TV does.
