The entire premise of your prediction was based upon movement in ONE direction.

What has happened since then? THE EXACT OPPOSITE!

A widening gap doesn't allow for your original premise (XB1 will catch up soon and outsell PS4 in USA by end of 2014, as stated by YOU!) to be realistically possible.

If you agree that your original prediction was completely wrong, and you want to make an entirely new prediction about some future point in time, that's fine, but that's FAR from a 'slightly off' situation. 'Soon' and 'Sometime down the line' are pretty damn incompatible with reality.

So your prediction was wrong because you didn't know how much x1 would sell? That is the base of a prediction.
But will you also say you didn't know vgc was inacurate and npd is thrustworthy? And more that you don't know usa don't take the whole globe?

okay then, please present us with a time or scenerio in which you would be wrong.  because by your logic no matter what happens you cant be wrong because you can jsut keep "adjusting" your prediction.

Why is this thread so popular? Its my first time coming in here and I know there's a ton of arguments here so Im not gonna get into those. Lets all just see what happens in the US since its such a toss up.

I just knew that the price cut will drive X1 sales to close or slightly more than PS4.

And as soon as Halo comes out basically X1 sales will double for the rest of the year.

ok as soon as Halo comes out, only that week the X1 maybe outsell PS4 ok....maybe.

but for the rest of the year? nope, just nope. PS4 will outsell it back for the rest of the year.

Okay either way you put it that means what you thought, calculated, said , predicited WHATEVER it was wrong period no ifs ands or buts. NOW if you are making a NEW predicition that is fine there is NOTHING wrong with that. But you can't just say you were not wrong because you were. ESPECIALLY seeing as you gave a time frame for it to happen in which was by the Jan 2015.

That's like me saying 2+2=5 when it actually equals 4 and then saying I was not wrong my calculations were slightly inaccurate  -__-

Yeah I noticed that too. I just came back from work and saw all these folks banned. WOW!

 

Anyway, it will be interesting to see when/if the Xbox One will catch the PS4.

Looks like Xbox One didn't top PS4 in NPD. Xbox Wire claiming sales more than doubled though.
