They need to announce voice commands coming to headsets soon, otherwise your losing features like xbox record that as there is no dedicated button. I think they will probably announce this at E3 when they go into more detail about it all. Its something they can easily put right and you then dont lose anything, as i dont think anyone was making camera exclusive software outside of Rare and even they probably arent now that rivals has shipped.

So strange not to cut price immediately, sales are gonna tank between now and E3, even more strange is they could of opened the show with this news and said on sale immediately.

But now they have the choice to sell their Kinect2-cameras, if they really don't like it.

Some buyers of the kinectless XBO will want to upgrade later, so the chances of finding a buyer for the camera should increase.

And when an early adopter sells his Kinect-camera, he don't have to worry that he needs it again for some minor task he hadn't thought of... firmware upgrades that demand a connected camera or similar shit.

Buy the version that comes with Kinect then or buy it later it's your choice. xD

When it comes to games, early adopters always get the finger, PS4 included. Driveclub and Watch Dogs delays didn't make it any better for the excited early adopters.

Sony has the by far better games - And Multiplats will always be better on the PS4.
The next big screamer will be WatchDogs shortly before the X1 gets its pricecut
And Sony will now even make bigger buzz around how much better their version is than they did currently

Because it's fun to point those things out to people, especially when they're really adamant about it. There is no malicious intent behind something like this (or at least not for me) it's just a fun part of forum posting, when someone makes a prediction like this, he should be aware that people might come back to call him out on it, when/if it turns out wrong and there's no harm in doing that (of course there are always points where things stop being funny)

Especially in this case I really don't see why anyone would be mad when he's being called out for being wrong, after all this is nothing but good news for the Xbox (even though I've seen people trying to spin this saying things like this would make the developer community mad, because it's going to split the userbase etc.)

The April NPD numbers must have been horrific for the X1.
