Forums - Nintendo - Why did American's lose more interest in Nintendo with the SNES than they did with the N64?

READ!!!!!! things.

Do you disagree?

Shush, English is hard at night T_T

But I do not think that Gensis > Ps1 cause Ps1 just sold a hell of a lot more. I think the only reason was that fans were more loyal in America when they were transitioning from Snes to N64 than Nes to Snes

Easy... Genesis does what Nintendon't

PS1 took customers and the Gaming market grew which made it seem like less customers were taken.

If the genesis never was who knows when nintendo would have bothered to make a successor to the nes.

Interesting how much the genesis hurt one of the best systems ever. If only the genesis never was......SNES sales could have beaten the NES easily.

The  SEGA Genesis was one of the best systems ever... let's keep things under prespective, ok? :)

Sonic 1, 2, 3 & knuckles, Streets of Rage 1, 2, 3, Shining Force 1, 2, Shinobi, Phantasy Star, Comix Zone, X-Men 2, Mortal Kombat (with proper blood and fatalities), Street Fighter II (with 12 characters, not 8 like the SNES), Golden Axe, etc

And I'm just naming some exclusives :D

The same could be sasid about Europe and Japan. The SNES lost 150k in Europe from the NES, but the N64 lost 2.61m from the SNES. Japan gained 130k from NES to SNES but only gained 30k from the SNES to N64.

Because reasons

Super Mario 64
Goldeneye
Zelda : OoT

Three of the greatest games of all time that pretty much describe the entire legacy of the N64

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I'm just imagining parents complaining that their children who want an SNES already have an NES and think the SNES is pretty much the same, lol.

Because Americans are notorious for their poor judgment and bad taste.
