Mario Kart looks amazing! You should see your eye doctor.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Why do you people compare any racing game to Gran Turismo?
I can say that Mario Kart don't have any physics at all, don't have day/night cicle, weather etc. What the point of this stupid comparison?

And Gran Tourismo runs like crap. Just saying. Just comparing it to something that has day night cycles, higher poly count, you know, dem graphics everyone's always talking about. They come at a cost, and I think MK8 delivers on graphics without sacrificing performance. People seem to be okay with posts that nitpick Mario Kart 8's graphics.
"The limit" is usually a goalpost that moves as the generation progresses and better tools and optimization is achieved.

It looks like you don't even know what you talking about.
And about running like crap, just lol.
MK delivers in fancy colors, that oversaturated contrast that block your eyes to see graphic flaws. You can say same thing about Sonic racing transform, looks not that different.

I'd respond, but nothing about your statement proves that Gran Tourismo runs well, or that Mario Kart 8 has a good balance between graphics and performance. Maybe you didn't comprehend what I was writing above, I don't know. Anyways come back when you have something to contribute.
Hell, I'll even do you one better and repost a comment I made earlier proving my point.
"Here's an interesting read on GT6
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-vs-gran-turismo-6
Here's some of my favorite parts:
"If Gran Turismo 6 is the final last-gen title from Polyphony Digital, it could be suggested that the developer still hasn't met its objective set forth almost a decade ago: to deliver a 60 frames-per-second racing simulation at 1080p on PlayStation 3. In fact, generally speaking, performance remains smoother in both PS2 and PSP versions of the game." - Eurogamer
"When GT4 was released on PlayStation 2 it felt like something close to a complete
, finished product from end to end: there was the sense that everything the team set out to accomplish - bar online racing - had been achieved. With Gran Turismo 6, we simply don't get that same feeling - the engine created for Gran Turismo on PlayStation 3 has never quite fully delivered and Polyphony's ambitions were seemingly too high to be delivered on last-gen tech." - Eurogamer
Lol, I'll leave it at that." - Me earlier.

1080p/60fps hasn't actually been confirmed yet, to the last of my knowledge it was a singlr article that mentioned it (the same article also didn't mention if it was 1080p up-scaled or native). Probably best not to state it as fact quite yet.
Still, even if it is true, resolution/frame rate aren't a great means for comparing games. Knack and inFamous both run at 1080p/30 - 40fps, yet the gap between them is rather, uhh, big :P
I've said previously, if MK8 is running at 1080p/60fps then its technical shortcomings are totally justified. If, however, it's running at 720p/60fps then it's incredibly disappointing. The WiiU may not be a power house, but it should certainly be doing more than MK8 at 720p/60fps.

Agreed. Although a solid 60fps at 720p I wouldn't say is increadibly dissapointing, I realize that Nintendo has to go an extra step to wow gamers that do not like the Wii U. It's been in my experience that a solid 60fps in a game is much harder to achieve than 1080p.
