This so much.  I doubt Nintendo would ever revive their F-Zero.  Or Mother, StarFox, ect.

The creator of Mother doesn't want to make any more, so I can't really blame them for not forcing it. Not every franchise needs to get continuous sequels. It's okay for a series to "end."

Well F-Zero is just a racing game. Its story really doesn't matter. No F-Zero game has ever had online multiplayer, so that alone would make the series worth a revisit in my opinion.

Star Fox is an on-rains shooter. It's pretty much an arcade game. Short of getting a complete gameplay overhaul (making it more of a flight sim, like the Rogue Squadron games), I really don't see the point of more entries. The story was also wrapped up for the most part, even though it wasn't exactly good or important.

Metroid has been put on the backburner, but unlike Mother and Star Fox, its story is anything but finished. The established gameplay formula also works just fine as a modern release.

Basically, more Metroid and F-Zero are a must, Mother is complete, and Star Fox can stay dead and buried for all I care.

I agree.  Though seeing as Nintendo has been releasing 2D platfroms constantly for the better part of seven years, I don't see how a overhauled version of StarFox isn't something at least worth considering.  I think an F-Zero game in 1080p with stylish art deco graphics would be the shit.

F-Zero has the potential to be amazing in HD with online multiplayer. I hope somebody at Nintendo considers it.

I'd be game for more Star Fox if I thought it would be good. I'm salivating at the very suggestion of having a new game that basically plays like Rogue Squadron, but that's probably not what the game would end up being. A new Star Fox would probably just be the on-rails sections of Kid Icarus: Uprising with none of the (weapon) customization and much less interesting characters... So basically I'd rather just have more Kid Icarus.

Except that only the 3DS is the wrong platform. WiiU is always the right platform.

There has been some talk about "lazy" developers. Nintendo is quite often "lazy"
Examples:
Mario Golf is only coming to 3DS despite being delayed, why not for the Wii U at the same time - the gameplay and graphics could be basicaly the same. EA are making the new Golf Club for three plattforms simultaneous (PS4, Xone, PC).

A lot of complaints come when Ubisoft delays WatchDogs for the Wii U. Ubisoft developes this huge and new game for five other plattforms.
Nintendo delayed Yoshi's New Island for one plattform (3DS) while it was esentially the same game as the SNES/DS game.
Why was not Yarn Yoshi Wii U developed and released at the same time?

Lego games, CoD games, Marvel games and others are made simultaneous for ALL plattforms including handheld and last generation.
Nintendo did not release Mario Party on both Wii U and 3DS at the same time! How hard can it be to coordinate the development of two Mario Party games. They could have the same graphics!!!

Other publishers are not afraid that simultaneous release will canabalize one of the plattforms, why is Nintendo so afraid? Not even Smash Bros, that is supposed to be able to have crossplay is released at the same time.

Nintendo fans can not seem to be able to decide if "power" matters or not. I also hope Starfox is for the Wii U as I do not own a 3DS lol
