Forums - Gaming - Remember Me is the most underrated game of last gen.

I guess we all have that one game that we like even though everybody else disagrees. Mine? Blades of Time. The rewind time mechanic had me hooked when I figured it out. I wouldn't recommend it to a soul, though!

So, I just played Remember Me on my PS3 thanks to Playstation Plus. Thank God for it actually cause I woulda never played this brilliant game if not for it.  My goodness, this game is bloody brilliant. Absolutely ingenious concept for a video game and graphics are stunning. It had a couple of rough edges but nothing that kept me from being completely enthralled into the immersive, complex, and beautiful Neo Paris and characters they created. I'm actually upset I didn't buy this game and support DontNod.

I give this game a 9.5 out of 10 and I hafta update my best games of the generation list now. It's that good IMO. The fighting system an remixing memories aspect of the gameplay were astonishing to me. I actually haven't even played my PS4 since I downloaded it. That's how good it is.

I put this in my ps+ backlog but thanks to this post  Iwill start it soon.

More underrated than Super Paper Mario? I don't think so!

Can something overrated be underrated?

My pick would be Nier, although that has got a bit of a cult fanbase as of late.

Super Paper Mario........overrated?

I'm confused - this game has been compared to Arkham Asylum (masterpiece) and God Hand? (awful button spamming till your hand goes numb kind of game) in this thread. So which one is it?

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Yeah, I thought it was very bad and was definitely the worst Nintendo published game I played on Wii.

It definitely didn't get the attention it deserved. It fell in the dreaded 70 area on metacritic where to many people just skip over games. It was a day one purchase for me and I enjoyed the game. The story was good and the memory sequences were interesting.

I enjoyed it. got it on pc. finished it. but havent played it since then. its definitely underrated. If it was exclusive to a platform, it would have sold more imo.

Mediocre, couldn't even be bothered finishing it. Found the combat, "platforming" and puzzles to be tedious at best. Dialog was clearly either translated or at lest English wasn't the wtriters first language, or just bad writers I guess either way dialog is pretty poor. Totally style over substance in every aspect, and the style isn't good enough to carry the game on it's own.

Combat system made me hate this game so much, that i didnt even bother finishing. Broken completely and totally repetitive. Having to do combos required insane precision and on top of that, enemies jumped on you from all directions. I kept dodging all the time without even been able to land a proper hit...

I agree.  The combat is the worst gameplay mechanics from an AAA release in the last couple of years.  Unresponsive, poor camera angles.

Surely an underrated game, but the most underrated of the gen is taking it a little far. Most underrated game on this gen is IMO Nier, it may be a cult classic now but most reviews of the game at the time it came out gave some absurdly low scores to it.
