The true console experience.

You'd have to pay 3x as much for a PC to get the true true experience.

If you didn't update your components price lists for two years - that might your exclusive truth.

Your fault was to apply the last generations performance price ratio onto this gen. But unfortunally you won't get 1200 bucks worth of PC components. You only get LESS than 100 bucks paid by Sony or Microsoft.

And this was at launch date. PC components are falling in prices day by day. If you get a good deal you already get MORE performance on the PC side for the same amount of money. And don't forget: with every game bought on the PC you'll spare a serious amount of money...

For the consoles this means that PS4 and Xone won't last those 6-8 years you're accustomed to. Within two years PCs - Nvidias Pascal is in full production then - will run circles at around them without being any more expensive. Within four years MOBILES will show the same graphic fidelity as PS4 and Xone...

Mobiles in 4 years? Do some math about power consumption. A PS4 or X1 uses around 150W while a mobile device have to use 5 or 10 (if it's a tablet). They would need to get 10 X more efficiency to achieve this in 4 years. The recent rise in power on mobiles was based on the fact that nobody cared about mobile SoCs until the iPhone. A big boom later and mobile SoCs increased clock rates, batteries got massive and power use skyrocketed. ARM SoCs that were made with ancient litography techs started using current gen techs like x86 CPUs. That made them powerful. But now they are at current manufacturing tech and at maximum power usage. They can't get more power simply by rising clocks or adding cores, now they will have to advance in the same rhytm of x86 (Moore's law) because they are at the bleeding edge now.

Applying Moore's law, you have current gen smartphones with performance similar to PS3/360 GPUs but with way less CPU power (a PPC 3.2 GHz CPU simply butchers a 2.3 GHz high-end ARM). 6 years from now, they will be 8 times more powerful. For what we know, PS4 and X1 are 10 to 15 times more powerful than PS360, so we will need more than 8 years to reach GPU parity and even more for CPU parity. Current mobile games aren't close to PS360 last gen titles. PS360 titles are closer to PC version than to mobile games.

If it will be locked 60fps and 1080p I would be surprised looking at some other games and considering that this isn't a new gen only game so that optimization was probably not so easy but if they mean that it reaches 60fps from time to time I wouldn't doubt it. 60fps with not much going on and down to maybe ~40fps if you have a pursuit with some explosions and so on...

Personally i would be surprised if it was 60fps. It's an open world game that would tax any machine even PC's, so i cannot see how it wouldn't be 30FPs or as others have said unlocked variable FPS.

So i don't think this is possible, and if it was would be quite shocking, especially as the Xbox version is expected to be 900p/30FPS.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

PC > PS4 > XB1 > Wii U

we already knew that before this information though.

Disclaimer: WD versions, not platform's overall quality.

edit: as for the variable framerate... i much prefer 40-60 than locked 30. Basically if it's like TR:DE on PS4 then great!

I smell the same situation that happened with Tomb Raider and Infamous SS... Unlocked fps that some times reaches 60, but avarage is 50 or 40 (respective cases).

Assassins Creed BH is unlocked on the PC and I felt very sick playing the game when the scene goes from 30 to 50 and down again. Maybe the unlocked effect does not feel that bad on the TV screen.

Also, "The True Experience" is the extra missions and add-ons PS4 will get from the start.

Yeah sure 60 fps.... maybe if its unlocked, and you look at nothing. Hitting 60 fps for one second doesn't make a 60 fps experience.

I'm not expecting to be the true experience, just a good game that I can enjoy. It's already paid in full.

I do hope this game is as good as it seems it can be... I've wanted this game since they originally revealed it. I hope it gets rave reviews.... Because I have to wait and see what it turns out to be. Hope it's great!

Im sure i´ll play the true experience on the Wii U, as will everyone else who plays it on any other console.
