Maybe nintendo are full of bigots..maybe other countries who don't support same sex marriage are bigots..I'm pretty sure China is a bigoted place

Seems like a logical argument and hopefully Nintendo will come out stating they will patch the rule out of the relationship logic. It really shouldn't be a game rule anyways.

Not facilitating something is not the same as disallowing it or making a statement against it.

If Disney can implement same sex couples, why not Nintendo? They have a history of doing things like this. Can you imagine if Microsoft had said this? Everyone would have gone crazy and butchered them for it. But because it's Nintendo they get a free pass.

If they had featured both types of relationships from the ground up then nobody would have cared about it. It would probably have had it's little niche on the Internet but everyone else would have just been totally unaware of it's presence in the game. It's not like it would take a lot of time to do either.

Yeah and if GTA developers don't patch the murdering of innocent black civilians then Donald Sterling May be interested in promoting the next GTA game..if you don't like the game don't buy it, I didn't buy GTA

I know what you mean. I feel the same way about straights. Marriage should only be among sexless animals. Straights can't always have it their way.

When did I take a hard stand saying I would ban the game or go crazy about it?

I don't buy GTA because its a stupid concept IMO. I also won't buy Tomodochi Life because I don't care for sim type games, but I may get it for my kids if they want it. With or without this potential patch idea.

I only wanted to comment that its a valid point to be made. A game about quirky life scenarios and strong relationship builder should not have the same-sex option blocked. Hell, you should be able to marry your pets or objects in the game too. Its a fictional crazy funny game concept, why limit anything?

Homosexuality is a large enough world-wide culture that it seems rather dissmissive to not have it as an option in this type of game.

Not every culture is like Canada. Either way, they are kinda screwed with this topic, if they allow same sex marriage then they will get yelled at by some, if they don't then they will get yelled at by others. It's a lose lose, best thing for nintendo would be just to let the game come out. Maybe Nintendo will learn their lesson and just not allow marriage in their games period:P
